Key issues to be discussed:
The legal risks and rewards in deep sea mining. This is particularly relevant to legal practitioners given the novel technology and difficulties of territorial issues in the constantly evolving world of deep sea mining. We will explore the contractual and regulatory framework in a variety of jurisdictions and the key risk factors that are ripe for dispute in this key element of the global critical mineral strategy.
The influence of supply chain issues on the race for critical minerals and the mitigation steps that parties can take to minimise these issues. We will explore the combined impact of Brexit, Covid-19, the Ukraine-Russia war and other global events on the critical mineral supply chain. We will also look at steps that parties can take to mitigate these supply chain issues and the disputes that are arising out of the delays caused.
Quantifying the impact of supply chain issues and how experts are approaching this complex issue in mining disputes.
Commercial perspectives on the race for critical minerals and an insiders view on the concerns of the key players in mining for energy. We will look at the issues that keep inhouse counsel up at night and how they view the typical disputes that arise out of mining projects.
