From Recall to Resolution: the lifecycle of mass product litigation.

4 Jun 09:00 - 10:30

Cross-border Disputes, Product Liability

Mass litigation arising from defective products poses distinctive challenges and opportunities, frequently unfolding through concurrent proceedings in multiple jurisdictions.

In this session, a diverse panel of experts will guide participants through the full lifecycle of a product liability claim, using a hypothetical scenario to illustrate how the dispute may unfold and what issues might arise. Through the various phases of the dispute, the panel will consider the practical and strategic issues arising, for instance, the impact and role of recalls, issues of jurisdiction, disclosure, litigation strategy and routes to redress.

Bringing together specialists from a range of jurisdictions and disciplines, the panel will offer a broad perspective on this fast moving and increasingly prominent area of litigation.
