Investor State Arbitration – transforming to restore trust while preserving useful traditions

4 Jun 11:30 - 13:00

Investor State Disputes

With Investor-State claims reaching a record high in 2025, this panel discussion will explore the financial and reputational impacts faced by States when defending high-value and very public proceedings that often run into several years, offering practical insights from controlling the narrative early on, determining a more accurate value of the claim in order to guide decision-making on settlement or defence, and case management for protracted proceedings.

Attendees will hear from lawyers, counsel, quantum experts and PR professionals with hands-on, recent experience who will provide real-world guidance on how to navigate the most complex of proceedings.

A networking lunch will be provided for delegates, following the panel session.
