Arbitration and inter-generational disputes - the reality, how it works in practice
4 Jun 11:30 - 13:00
This is an interactive discussion that sees senior practitioners, with wide experience of a range of jurisdictions, look at the evolving issue of how arbitration supports intergenerational disputes. Traditionally trust arbitrations were not seen as a means of resolving of such disputes. Decisions such as, but not limited to, Grosskopf v Grosskopf [2024] EWHC 291 (ch) and Gabriele Volpi v Delanson Servies Ltd & Matteo, Simone & Isabella Volpi [2025] have started to reset the position in this area of law. The panel looks at the state of the law as of the middle of 2026 and considers how it might develop. The panel has wide experience in both trust disputes and arbitration with speakers based in London, Dublin and the British Virgin Islands.
