This London International Disputes Week, join the Law Society and Penningtons Manches Cooper for a panel discussion exploring what the data tells us about London’s position as a leading global dispute resolution hub.

What this session will cover

As competition between jurisdictions intensifies, global businesses need reliable dispute resolution systems that prioritise digital dexterity, procedural efficiency and legal certainty. Increasingly, the data shows their preferred venue is London.

In this panel discussion, members of the judiciary, business and legal communities will explore this highly competitive market through the lens of data analysis from the UK courts. The discussion will focus on what this means in practice for those advising on and managing cross-border disputes – including how to support client decision making and strategic positioning.

The discussion and Q&A will be followed by a business networking reception, hosted by the Law Society. Here you'll have the opportunity to build your international network and connect with stakeholders within the domestic and international legal sector.

Learning objectives

  • Use data to strengthen your client advice: Learn how UK court data reflects trends in dispute resolution and how this evidence can support client conversations, pitches and strategic decision making.

  • Translate system developments into practical advantage: Hear from judiciary and practitioners on how digital innovation, procedural efficiency and judicial approach are shaping outcomes in practice, and what this means for your work.

  • Understand London’s competitive position in a global market: Explore how England and Wales compares to other leading dispute resolution hubs, and what factors continue to attract international disputes.

  • Expand your international network: Connect with practitioners, judiciary and business representatives working across cross-border disputes during the our International drinks reception.
