When Worlds Collide: Navigating the Intersection of Employment, White Collar Crime and Regulatory Investigations
4 Jun 16:30 - 18:00
Corporate investigations rarely stay in their lane. What begins as an internal HR matter can rapidly escalate into a multi-regulator enforcement action, a criminal prosecution, and employment claims — all running simultaneously, all pulling in different directions, and all carrying reputational stakes.
This session brings together leading practitioners from the worlds of white collar crime, employment, and regulatory enforcement to explore the fault lines that emerge when these disciplines collide. Drawing on real-world experience, the panel will tackle the tensions that no single practice area can resolve alone: individual rights versus corporate cooperation obligations and potential corporate liability, regulatory timelines versus procedural fairness, and the ever-present risk that resolving one set of proceedings fatally compromises another.
Whether you act for companies, individuals, or regulators, this session will equip you with the frameworks and the war stories to navigate one of the most complex intersections in modern disputes practice.
This will be a hybrid event, but for those attending in-person, we welcome to join us for networking drinks from 6pm.
