In-house counsel discussion on key challenges and strategies for managing the international arbitration lifecycle

This roundtable discussion, jointly hosted by Baker McKenzie and FTI and supported by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre, will explore key pressure points across the international arbitration lifecycle, from the strategic selection and challenge of arbitrators, the conduct of the arbitral proceedings under differing procedural and evidentiary standards, managing document production (including cross-border privilege considerations) as well as potential enforcement and annulment risks, including the setting aside of arbitral awards at the seat of arbitration.
This will be discussed particularly in the context of international arbitrations seated in London and Singapore under major arbitral institutional rules.
This session will also focus on practical strategies and best practices that can assist in-house counsel navigate these challenges and aim to have the arbitral proceedings conducted in a cost-effective and timely manner.
