Inbound investment into Africa continues to grow and the Africa Continental Free Trade Area will undoubtedly increase the volume of cross-border trade. Infrastructure and energy projects are also on the up. With growth, comes disputes; many African countries are still seeing disputes being resolved in other jurisdictions. Why is this?
• Does English law continue to prevail? For how long?
• What are the prospects for OHADA law and arbitration?
• Is it still an advantage for disputes lawyers based in African countries to be English law qualified?
• What are the bars to domestic dispute resolution?
The panel session will be followed by informal networking drinks.
