Aviation Conflict Risks

4 Jun 11:30 - 13:00

Cross-border Disputes, Sanctions

The aviation industry is no longer linear; it is a complex and fragile network exposed to geopolitical volatility and conflict-driven disruption. From contested airspace and sanctions regimes to asset detention and insurance carve‑outs, conflicts and their risks are now central to aviation disputes.

This panel explores how aviation conflict risks that span disputes, jurisdictional uncertainty, sanctions exposure and the grounding or seizure of aircraft is reshaping the arbitration landscape. We will examine how insurers, lessors, operators and financiers are responding as traditional risk allocations are tested under extreme conditions.
