The centrepiece of LIDW is our full day conference, taking place on the Tuesday of LIDW, which will once again bring together leaders from across the dispute resolution world to discuss the most topical issues of the moment, on a theme of “Innovation in Dispute Resolution: Navigating Global Risks”.

The conference will feature prominent members of the judiciary and arbitrators, business leaders, leading global practitioners from in-house and private practice and the Bar, experts, legal technology specialists and more.

Highlights of the day will include:

  • Panel sessions on:
    • The geopolitical and economic landscape and its impact on disputes – bringing together renowned legal and geopolitical experts to explore how world events are shaping dispute resolution
    • Navigating evolving supply chain disputes and risk – insights from in-house, the judiciary, private practice and others on mitigating and resolving supply chain issues
    • How courts around the world are innovating to meet the needs of users and the challenges of modern dispute resolution – comparative perspectives from judges from a number of key jurisdictions
    • What are our responsibilities as dispute resolution practitioners? – addressing challenging questions such as how to balance competing duties, and the topical issue of conscientious objection to certain matters, clients or work types
    • Building the dispute resolution practice of the future – how are factors such as AI, evolving client expectations, and the emergence of different business models impacting on how to build and sell a successful dispute resolution offering, now and into the future?
  • Networking opportunities with 600+ fellow delegates from around the world, across breaks and a closing drinks reception
