Event Description (a short synopsis of the event that will be visible on the event page): This panel session will delve into the relative advantages and disadvantages of Arbitration and Litigation in the modern era. It will explore the rise of arbitration in recent years as the preferred forum for large scale construction disputes and consider whether some of the disadvantages of arbitration are encouraging parties to look again at litigation. The panel will consider the recent findings from a roundtable hosted by GAR and the LCIA and explore whether and how the issues raised are also relevant in the context of major construction disputes. Our panellists will be discussing their experiences to date and insights on what they believe the future holds.
